In , the D/R alternation (i.e. when words' spelling change between D or R depending on the sound that precedes it) is totally optional as long as the meanings doesn't change.

So while we sound-wise prefer "Malaki raw" over "Malaki daw", neither is wrong. Both are grammatically correct.

English translation: "However, note: this should not be treated as a rule in writing. Furthermore, using 'din' and 'daw' after words that end in vowels and semivowels should not be considered wrong."

Sabrina Carpenter arriving in a dress made of filmstrips of the 1954 film Sabrina. She understood the assignment, and I for one am grateful she decided to come.

Can I also say that she *knows* her body well? She looks like a doll with her emphasis on her really good proportions.

Bad Bunny walks in a look that's meant to be a reflection of the aging body. If you think about it, aging is an art form where some do it well and others do it like milk.

In an event filled with women in gorgeous outfits and men in boring suits, Bad Bunny stands out by coming in a boring suit but doing it with a statement.

Bad Bunny wearing an all black outfit, a white hair wig, facial hair, and prosthesis to make him look 70 years old.

Janelle Monaé walks down the carpet in an outfit that reminds us of the failures of our tech-defined society. With moss covering the wires, ports, and connectors in her dress, she reminds us that eventually, nature reclaims everything.

Scarlet Witch

1. Bruha Eskarlata (from Spanish)
2. Pulang Manggagaway

(I didn't wanna use "mangkukulam" here because it connotes someone who works specifically with voodoo dolls, and "mambabarang" connotes someone who works specifically with bodily ailments. "Babaylan" is priestess, so that's a no-go as well.)

Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch from WandaVision.

Fantastic Four - Kamangha-pat (idk sorry 😭🤣)

Mr. Fantastic - Mr. Walastik
Reed Richards - Rene Ricardo

Invisible Woman - Laho Lady
Susan Storm Richards - Susan Salonga Ricardo

Human Torch - Taong Sulô
Jonathan Storm - Jhonatan Salonga

The Thing - Ang Ano
Benjamin Grimm - Benjamin Gamboa

Fantastic Four: First Steps

Thought I put spiral-shaped pasta on my cart, checked it out two weeks ago. Now I'm cooking it, and it's actually the weirdest pasta shape I've ever come across. Apparently it's called vegeroni and they're oversized shells that look like cabbage leaves and tubes that vaguely resembles legumes.

The packaging claims it has three times more fiber than regular pasta. Interesting.

(Stock photo so you can see what I see)

A vibrant pile of tricolor dry pasta, featuring shades of orange, green, and pale yellow. The pasta consists of various shapes, including ridged shells and spiral-like curls.

Digging through my old files, and I found this concept for my website redesign that I made in 2024. This was before I came up with the Cyber Chrome theming I ended up going with.

I had a thought that, since I was doing photo shoots every year, I could make each a theme for the entire website. I didn't go through with it because to me it was too much work (although I ended up rewriting the entire thing anyway).

It seems that the new design trend nowadays is "card islands", i.e. sections of UI grouped together in cards laid out in a grid, each elevated with drop shadows and decorated with huge corner radii.

I've seen this in MacOS, Jetbrains IDEs, some Obsidian themes, and now, the Firefox Nova redesign that's coming.

Firefox's upcoming Nova redesign, featuring user interface components grouped together in cards laid out in a grid. IntelliJ IDEA rendered in the default theme Islands, featuring components grouped together in cards with rounded corners. Finder in MacOS Tahoe. Sidebar is grouped in a liquid glass panel that floats on top of the entire window. Toolbars at the top are similarly grouped and elevated in cards.

Watched Everyone Knows Every Juan on Netflix today while cooking. This movie is nuts y'all 😭 (in a good way). I really enjoyed it. What it feels like is that they just randomly happened to be on set, read the script, thought it would be fun to join, and decided to film it together.

The entire film is one continuous shot. It's really fun. Chaotic fun. Light family drama, but ultimately a comedy. 10/10 Pinoy film I think.

Karla's team failed to double check and uploaded the video both with the song encoded into the video and Tiktok's own sound playing at the same time, but in different parts of the same song.

The result is… quite amusing to say the least. See for yourself.

That new ScreenX cinema they're trying to push looks sooo ass 😭 the side panels have different color rendering from the main screen, plus the joints between the three panels have horrendous seams that they didn't even try to at least cover up. That's just lazy. I don't know how they thought people would eat this up as something like a new premium cinematic experience.

A theater with ScreenX panels. The main panel is at the center where a regular cinema panel would be, and the left and right walls are also screens. But these side screens have a more washed out color rendering. The seams where the three panels merge are also very visible.

Sharing experiences in a class was such a pretentious thing for me back when I was in school because the topic could be like "cycles and loops" and the other kids would talk about Ferris wheels and roller coasters. And then I stand up and talk about cycles of abuse 😭

Girl making a face that says “be so serious right now 😭.” You can literally feel the secondhand embarrassment through the screen.

As much as I love Jon Chu, he cannot get all the credit for that scene in Wicked Part 1 where Elphaba sings about being "degreenified" by the Wizard and the light shines through a piece of pink glass, making her skin look not-green.

Because Wicked Broadway has been doing that in No Good Deed to signify that when Elphaba succumbed to wickedness, that is when she's the most like us.

Elphaba's green skin fading into a more "normal" color when pink light shines on her as she sings about the Wizard degreenifying her. Donna Vivino as Elphaba on Wicked Broadway, singing No Good Deed. Her skin is painted green, but the warm lights briefly turn her back into her normal skin color.

If Jonvic Remulla comes out as gay I would not be surprised because ever since I caught wind of his name, he's been acting like a diva 😭 exactly like how gay masc4masc men who roam around Greenfield in Shaw Blvd act and speak. He's already buff to begin with, also wears ultra tight shirts.

Kamala Harris tucking her hair while laughing.

Hot Maria Clara herself, Sanya Lopez. Infamous for her Ru-veal look in a previous GMA Gala appearance where she wore a 2-in-1 outfit that looks like the male genitalia revealing into an okay dress, she redeems herself this year with this detailed gown.

Sanya Lopez serving Ursula with her hair tied into a high bun and a sheer and gem-studded black long gown with a puffed-up tulle train.

Here's a picture of me with a very old computer that I unfortunately could not remember what was called. This was when I was still a JW and we toured the Watchtower Branch Office in Muñoz, Quezon City.

They say this computer had been here since the first time Filipino JWs started printing their own magazines and books in the PH.

When I converted, they already moved the printing presses to Japan, and only translations are done here in the country.

A man in formal attire sits at a vintage computer terminal, focused intently on the monochrome display. The sepia tone gives the scene a timeless, retro-futuristic atmosphere—this is me, captured in another era.
